Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY

Silverfox Performance Transmission warrants that all of its products are free from defects in material and workmanship, to the original purchaser for as long as you own the product. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase. This limited warranty shall only cover the original purchaser. All claims must be made in writing to ensure legal documentation.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY ON THE FOLLOWING:
  1. Any product that has been physically altered, improperly installed or maintained.
  2. Any product used in an improper application, abused or not used in connection with the proper parts, accident, contamination, electrical overload, improper wiring, etc.
  3. Any product that is defective due to accident or neglect.
  4. Any product where proper cooling and/or fluid levels have not been maintained.
  5. Any use of the B&M Products “Hammer” shifter.
  6. Any unauthorized repair or maintenance of transmission internals.

There is no implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Siverfox Performance Transmissions obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of its products. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the face of this warranty. Silverfox Performance Transmission will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages, property damage or personal damages to the extent permitted by law. Silverfox Performance Transmission is not liable for accidents, injury or collisions with regards to transmission failure or repair.

This warranty is subject to the following at Silverfox Performance Transmissions discretion: rebuilding of transmissions will be limited to replacement of all friction materials, gaskets and seals. There will be an additional charge for parts that are damaged as a result of items not covered by this warranty. Silverfox Performance Transmission is not liable for any other costs or damages as a result of items covered by this warranty. Silverfox Performance Transmission is does not cover any shipping, duties, brokerage fees, or damages incurred in the return of product.

Please note that all transmissions must be operated with a transmission cooling system that is in addition to the stock radiator-type cooler.

It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all of the components are correct before installation. Proper assembly always requires that the installer measure all tolerances for proper clearances. Silverfox Performance Transmission assumes no liability for any errors made in component selection or installation.

Warranty Transfer: Should a Silverfox Performance Transmission product transfer ownership from the original purchaser the following fees will be applied automatically to any warranty claim of the new owner. Shipping and/or freight is not included in this fee. Complete Transmission: $500 minimum, Valve body: $100 minimum. Transfer fee is subject to change at Silverfox Performance Transmissions discretion.

Transmission Freight

Transmission pricing includes freight to a industrial or commercial address with a loading dock or fork lift that can access a 40' tractor trailer. It must not be zoned residential in any manner and have good access to roads commonly navigated by such trucks. A quote for box truck or lift gate must be requested should you choose to have it delivered to a location outside these requests. Often an additional charge will be incurred. Terminal delivery is also an option. Freight companies offer a service to delivery the pallet to their own local terminal for customer pickup. Often an additional charge will be incurred and is considered a handling fee. NOTE - ALL FREIGHT SCHEDULING is volatile to weather or other commercial interests that effect transit times. NO GURANTEE will be made on delivery dates once the freight has left our shipping dock.

Valve bodies / Torque Converters / Misc

If your transmission is showing signs of weakness (e.g. burnt fluid, excessive slippage, erratic operation or other indications of mechanical failure), a valve body will not cure the transmissions problems and possibly exacerbate them. A valve body is designed to reduce slippage, increase life of transmission, and increase performance of the shift overlap and some lubrication aspects. It can not repair lost friction material or internal issues. Warranty is only valid for use on normal operating known good transmissions.
